He had devoted more time to play with the Play Station or playing in multiplayer games online instead to devote hours for studying more. It was his fault. He realised that for becoming somebody important in this life you need to study.
He could only hope a miracle, thing very difficult for him because he was agnostic, or the most probable: that the teacher would have become crazy at all and wrote good marks on his school report.
